Where are my scans stored?
Only on your iPhone, as ordinary files. Andvari has no servers and uploads nothing.
Do you collect any data about me?
No. No account, no analytics, no tracking. Nothing leaves your device.
Is my library backed up?
Not in this version — your library lives only on this iPhone. If the phone is lost or wiped, its scans go with it, so keep your own copies of anything important. You can export any document as a PDF. Encrypted cloud backup is coming in a later version.
Why doesn't my iPhone suggest titles and tags automatically?
Automatic titling and tagging needs an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone on iOS 26 or later. On other devices Andvari is a fast scanner with on-device text search and PDF export.
How do I lock the app?
In Settings, turn on “Require Face ID”. It's off by default; turning it on asks for Face ID once to confirm.
How do I get a document out of Andvari?
Open it and export as a PDF to the system share sheet — send it to another app, email, or save your own copy.
